日常の特許：A Patent on the Wall at くら寿司 (Kura Sushi)

くら寿司 (Kura Sushi) is one of our family’s favourite restaurants.

Collecting five sushi plates to try our luck at the ガシャ (gashapon) adds a small sense of fun to the meal, especially for children.

The food is decent, and the dining experience feels smooth and orderly.
What caught my attention, however, was something quieter: a framed patent certificate displayed on the wall.

The patent is not about games or rewards.
It relates to the covered sushi plate system used in the restaurant. Each plate is protected by a transparent dome, designed so that sushi can be placed, transported, and opened without directly touching the cover by hand, improving hygiene and reducing clutter at the table.

                                            

What appears simple is the result of deliberate design.
Seeing the patent displayed is a reminder that good inventions often remain unnoticed—quietly supporting everyday life by doing their job well.

くら寿司は、私たち家族のお気に入りのレストランのひとつです。

お皿を5枚集めてガシャに挑戦する小さな楽しみもあり、特に子どもにとっては食事の時間が少し特別なものになります。

料理は安定していて、店内の流れもとてもスムーズです。
そんな中、ふと目に留まったのが、壁に静かに掲げられていた特許証でした。

この特許は、ゲームや景品に関するものではありません。
店内で使われている寿司皿のカバー構造に関するものです。
透明なドーム状のカバーは、手で直接触れることなく、寿司の提供・搬送・開閉ができるよう設計されており、衛生面の向上と、テーブル上の煩雑さの軽減を目的としています。

一見するととてもシンプルですが、その背後には丁寧な設計があります。
特許が店内に掲示されているのを見て、優れた発明ほど、目立たず静かに日常を支えているのだと感じました。

藏壽司是我們全家很喜歡的餐廳之一。
把吃完的壽司盤累積到一定數量，就可以試試手氣轉一次ガシャ(扭蛋)，這樣的小樂趣，讓用餐多了一點期待，對孩子尤其如此。

餐點穩定，整個用餐流程也讓人感覺順暢而有秩序。
而真正吸引我注意的，卻是牆上靜靜展示著的一張專利證書。

這件專利並不是關於遊戲或獎品，
而是與店內使用的壽司餐盤防護蓋結構有關。
透明的圓頂蓋體被設計成可在不直接用手接觸的情況下，完成壽司的放置、輸送與開啟，藉此提升衛生性，同時避免取下的蓋體佔據桌面空間。

看似簡單的設計，其實來自細緻的思考。
看到專利被展示在店內，讓人感受到，好的發明往往不張揚，只是安靜地融入並支撐著日常生活
